Non-IND painted front reflectors?
Has anyone gone with another brand other than IND for front reflectors? Seems like $130 (including pry tool and shipping) to be a bit excessive, unless they're far superior in paint match/quality. Thanks!

They are more spendy but they are usually the best match in paint colors. iND is worth it IMO. I've read on here many times people with other brands dont match spot on for unique colors.

Instead, why not go to a reputable body shop? Have some things done.
Do the side vents and the 4 reflectors, maybe the dash piece (the dark chrome under the carbon). Maybe the engine cover. Get more done for less. Just doing the reflectors may not be worth it. I think you might have Black so maybe not do the dash etc. Anyway, just a thought.

I had a similar question. People were pretty adamant the IND ones were the highest quality option.

One note, if you reuse your existing, the fronts will be a slight amount of work as you will need to re-tape them. the backs pop in and out. If it were me I'd buy a new set of the fronts and reuse the backs.

I went simple on the back since its so hard to match the mineral white. I just did black to match the other vents. May change it later but works for now.

My buddy Bjon at Redmond Auto Rebuild can def take care of you if you want them custom painted. They do a good job. Granted he's a friend but he's one of the best guys I know. I trust his advice 100%.

yes, IND against any other online, IND IMHO is the best quality or at least, nobody has better quality as from what I have seen, it's top notch.

The OEM reflectors have raised lettering/numbers that need to be sanded down. From what I can see, the eBay items aren't sanded. That would bother me. I'm curious what people feel a reasonable price for these is. Consider that you'll pay $50-$60 for the reflectors from BMW. I bought mine from IND with no regrets. I've been burned with cheaper items in the past. Never again.

Anyone tried the "smoke" reflectors? Or are they tacky?

Painted ones look much more tacky if you ask me
If they bothered me that much, I would get them professionally filled by a body shop and since they don't, I either go with clear or smoked ones (depending on the color of the car) and leave the back ones alone.
