Fired up ECU with weird mosfet name
So a month ago i was running my 335i coupe on cobb stage 1+FMIC, i downshifted to 2nd to pass a slow car and suddenly i heard a loud backfire coming from the back of the car. I stopped on the side of the road with my car shaking like no other...
At this point i decided to un-install cobb and go back to the stock map hoping that car would go back to normal, but now luck...i got many codes: 30bb - DME digital motor electronics, internal failure 29d1 - Misfire Cyl 5 29d2 - Misfire Cyl 6 29d0 - Misfire Cyl 4 29d9 29cc - Misfire Multiple Cylinders So i went online trying to figure out a way to repair my ecu by reading so many post and watching videos on how to replace fired mosfets. All the posts and videos i read and watched located the mosfet in the exact same location (which is right when you open the DME...no need to open an screw), so i ordered 6 mosfet of with the reference IRF 644SPBF. Here comes the nightmare, when i looked closely at mosfets in the DME the mosfets had different names 3 of which are labeled as IRF N704AB and the remaining 3 are labeled IRF 703AP. I tried to look all over the internet for suppliers that have similar mosfets and i was not able to find a single one. If anyone had ever face such an issue can you kindly advise? |

I guess its a MD 80 because it was produced in 04/07 but what does that have to do with the mosfet number? Last edited by Rashad; 07-18-2016 at 03:33 AM.. |
