DIY 3 inch lower charge pipe
Made this when I did all my fbo mods. Pretty easy to fabricate actually, got a 3" elbow and straight silicone couplers and welded some tube I had laying around. Did the wrinkle coat paint to make it blend in more in the engine bay.

I was going to make it a hard pipe the entire length, but the 90° angle right on the FMIC was too tight to fit micely with the bend radii I had laying around. The 90° coupler was perfect though. If I did it again, I would buy a doughnut to use for the tight bend radii at the top of the pipe. The bends I used were ok, but would be a bit more tidy with tighter bends that only a doughnut can offer. |
