Rough idle after changing valve cover gasket
Hey guys. I just changed the valve cover gasket bc of a leak at around 70k miles. Now I am getting a rough idle and an error code that says something about fuel mix (I didn't record the error but I will when I get back to look at it at the shop this weekend). Any idea what it could be? It sounds ok in the engine bay but you can really hear it at the exhaust tips. It sounds like a chugging sound.

How would I check for a vacuum leak? Sorry if it's a n00b question, but I don't get involved much with the mechanical aspects of the car, just the audio. The install was done by a mechanic friend.

I agree, probably a vacuum leak at the oil breather hose. Your friend may have inadvertently broke it.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
