Car stolen

Hi Guys,
before anything I'm apologizing for not being a active member on here..however approximately between 1am and 6 am my car was stolen from my driveway ...it's a white 2010 335i x drive with avante garde m359 wheels in black, with a rep front m3 number, I know that's pretty common theme but here's more details it does not have a front plate, m3 painted lip spoiler, and a M license frame..the car is debadged so does not have 335 or m3 written anywhere on it .It was stolen from parsippany NJ so it could be anywhere now ..obviously I love this car it's my pride and joy like some of your cars are too you..please refrain from any negative comments and if you have any details please pm me

Agree I swear if I knew who did it i would uber right to them now and probably turn myself into jail afterwards..I understand it's a materialistic item but having things taken away from innocent bystanders really pisses me off

Any idea how they stole it? I can think of 3 options - someone had a key, someone used a device to range extend the signal from your key, or they loaded it onto a flatbed.

Would someone not have noticed #3?

I did leave my car unlocked (my stupidity i do that once in a while at home because I live in a good area)as for the rest no..family member saw some people across the street around 12 ish and didn't think anything of it I woke up at 6 saw no car and due to it raining all night the cars spot was dry so they must've been staking it all night and had just taken it..btw there are 3 other cars in my driveway

I live in a very high car theft area and never worried about my BMW's getting stolen. The only people I know that lost one had their key stolen. Do you have both keys in your possession?

Watch Craigslist. I've heard a couple stories of wheel thief's getting caught posting on CL.

Keep looking on Craigslist/Kijiji. Probably looking to part out and sell parts. Buddy had his car stolen and they gutted everything but left the car itself on the side of the street.

Ive been checking every half hour for things like Cobb /escort max radar and general car parts..obviously like most of you I did nothing but put best products on this car so it's very disappointing to see it go to shit

I'm guessing they had a key programmer. If you had a JB4 on the car it wouldn't have worked.

A kid in Parsippany fixed my Nissan at his parent's house, so I can attest it's a decent area

It totally stinks but it's understandable that you wouldn't expect it to happen where you live....it'll get sorted out....

I'm surprised more people don't have these. Depending on where I park there's several cameras on the car in most spots.

The Ring is really cool with the way you can communicate with people at your door through your smart phone, get notifications, etc. I'm thinking about adding one just for the convenience.

I was in the process of actually buying one as I have a lot of connected items in my house .I think now I'll do a full system just so I can see the face..the ring camera would be helpful by giving a time of when it moved and what direction it went

Not to be contrarian, but I would hope to not get it back. You never know how they beat on and invisibly damaged the car. Not sure how long insurance makes you wait, but I would ask for my check ASAP. My 335 was recently rear ended and Geico gave me only 1500 less than I paid for it 15 months and 30k miles ago. I was prepared to argue and fight for more, but I was more than happy with what they gave me (top end of kbb, blue book and edmunds for perfect condition). Had my check the day after I brought it to the shop for inspection.
