Airbag recall with M3 steering wheel?
Has anyone gotten their airbag replaced while havin an M3 or other aftermarket steering wheel? I'm curious if the dealer didn't care, threw a fit, or denied the replacement.
I know the M3 wheel has no impact on the recall or the airbag, but you know the dealers seem like they'll make any excuse not to do free work.

It depends on if you replaced your air bag when you did the install of the M3 wheel.
If you transferred your original air bag to the new wheel it wouldn't mater. They still have to deal with the recall.

Is there any way to determine if an airbag is part of the recall by part number? For example, I'm planning on switching out my non-sport steering wheel + airbag for a sport steering wheel + sport airbag. My non-sport steering wheel is currently unaffected by this recall.
