PSA: Bosch Front O2 Sensors for Cheap

If anyone is contemplating replacing their front O2/lambda sensors, the Bank 1 sensor is currently going for $83.95 w/ free shipping on Amazon.

Bosch 17098

You can use this sensor on both banks. This one has the longer wire length, so you just need to coil up the extra when you use it on Bank 2. The Bank 2 sensor (Bosch 17102) costs $140 because it's unique to the 335i.

So they are the same exact sensor? The only difference is one being longer than the other?

I can confirm as just 3 weeks ago I had to replace one of my O2's. Ordered cheaper, longer cable sensor and it works flawlessly. Same connector and the same sensor, the only thing is, now both my O2 sensor cables are black

I just replaced the rear pre-cat o2 sensor with Bosch 17098. It got rid of the o2 sensor code but now I'm misfiring in cyl 4,5,6.

Try resetting lambda adaptations.

When my turbos were burning a lot of oil, I had pre-cat lambda errors. I was about to buy new o2 sensors but waited to replace the turbos. After the turbos were replaced, no pre-cat lambda errors.

Make sure you are not burning oil before replacing the o2 sensors.

This sensor will work for both banks.

I just reset Lamda adaptations. It idled fine for first 30-45 seconds then I could feel the engine misfire once the rpms dropped.

I'd try logging AFR and fuel trims to see if bank 2 is doing something funny.
