RotorMaster? Did they just rebuild them? Are they leaking oil through the turbine seals?

Brand new turbos I'm not quite sure it smells like coolant being burnt. Invested all this money in and once I go to fire it up, it went well for first minute, then started smoking from the turbos. I felt them and they are already hot. Not sure what went wrong.. But I purge the system before start up.

Did you prime oil through them before starting it?

They shouldn't self destruct without priming

As per instructions on the mitsu supposed to feed 100ml or more oil in to the oil port and turn impeller by hand. I told my installer that many times.

Does that mean it's my new turbos our shot? If I didn't do this step?

I doubt not priming them would cause what sounds like catastrophic damage. They will get oil within a second after starting.

Also, this would not explain why you are smelling coolant.

White smoke is usually coolant.

Here's a video [u2b]https://youtu.be/AVw0mQO7tDI[/u2b]

At first it sounds good. Then it starts to become complete shit. White smoke stopped a little bit. Near the end you the banging starts

Do you think the engine is still in tack?

Could it be a water pump failure?

Turbo mainflod get's really hot within minutes

I am by no means an expert on this, haven't done a turbo install on my car yet or anything. But I bet your water pump and engine are fine, rotomaster may just make crappy turbos.

Our cars run hot as you know, so you may be overthinking the manifold heat. If your water pump wasn't running, you'd get a check engine light pretty soon I think.

Just my two cents

Sounds like one or both turbos are fkd. What is it with bmw and woeful stock turbo rebuild results? Makes you just want to go with someone reputable and go big single.
