Rear Passenger Door Stuck Shut
I took the seats out and managed to the get the door jam off, but when I manually pull the cable the door still does not open.
Some research shows that this is likely the door lock actuator, but how do I get the door open to replace the part (once I find one for the rear passenger door). Last edited by bsouth19; 06-29-2016 at 06:22 AM.. |

Open the door using the OUTSIDE handle, then flip the little switch on the door jamb to the "unlock" position.

Had the exact same problem after days of searching I found this its a bit tricky but it works:http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=730211
Remember that the door won't open again if you close it. You have to buy Nr:1:http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=41_1634 I replaced mine my self. |

I had this problem, I just kept hitting the lock actuator (that latches on the car) until it came off - nothing else was working and it wouldn't let go.
After that, it was easy. |

So the door is still stuck shut. Pushing and pulling on things will not break anything free and the door remains shut.
Therefore I can't get to the screws. Any ideas?!? |

got pissed off and whacked the outside of the door a few times with an open hand pretty hard... magically the latch released and i was able to open the door.
goes to show that it was just plain stuck. got a new actuator in and all back together. seems to be working. i appreciate the help all around! |
