Trailer Hitch for 2011 e90 335i?
I've searched (seemingly) exhaustively. I have a 2011 e90 335i and want to be able to carry bikes to local trails. I do not plan to tow. I prefer not to have a roof rack or trunk mounted carrier.
I cannot seem to find a hitch that will fit my car. I ordered a Draw-Tite 24857 from etrailer. The description said it would fit a 328i, so I felt confident it would work on my 335i. I got the unit and was not able to make it work on my car. After several phone calls to etrailer and Cequent, the manufacturer, I was told they do not have a hitch that fits the '11 335i. Has anyone found a hitch to work on the 2011? I see a Curt C1156 available for a 2010 335i. Has anyone tried it on a 2011? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately it turns out there are specific differences between the 328i and 335i that prevent the same hitch from fitting both. It is starting to look like I have no choice but a roof rack if I'm going to tote bikes with this car.

I removed the rear bumper cover and lowered the exhaust, but could not get the Draw-Tite 24857 hitch to fit in place. It was extremely difficult to tell where it was binding - I suspect the bumper cover support arms. If you are confident the 81821 will fit the '11 E90 335i, I'm interested.

I have the Curt hitch on my LCI E91, it works great and install was easy. I didn't even take of my bumper to do the install. It's not a hidden hitch, though.

I installed this hitch on my E93 and it fit well. I had to remove some cross bracing unique to the E93 then reinstalled it should not be on the E90.s. Fitment is good and is totally hidden....

I have the valley one on my e93. Since its a convertible, I can't attach anything to the roof. The shop was able to install it without removing the bumper. They also said they could have built me one for the same price & labor that I had paid.
The valley is nice because its hidden, but its really low with the L bracket attached. The attachment does bottom out on steep grades.

Never bottomed out on my Valley hitch and it has been installed I think 5 years now.
I have stock suspension not sport so maybe that makes a difference... |

The problem may be that my bike rack extends another foot past the end of the hitch. I stopped using it once I got the suv

I'm in the same boat... Did you ever get a hitch to fit to carry a bike rack?

No, I ended up getting a roof rack. It works great, I just have to be careful not to pull into the garage with bikes on top. I should mention the roof rack does add some wind noise. It's not bad as long as I'm not driving highway speeds. Bottom line, my bikes are secure and it's easy to get them up there since the car sits pretty low. Overall I'm pretty happy with this solution.

Ugh! I'm going to investigate the invisihitch option, but $550 is steep for a hitch.

The Curt website suggests 11756 for 2010 335i sedan with dual mufflers.
