Figured that. I have a 911 that the warranty expires in 1.5 years. So just looking at options. I realize that after owning it it's really just sits and gets driven one day a week. A little tired of that cost, so I figured M2 or maybe a used Caymen S.

Drive it everyday especially if it is a lease, you're paying for the mileage anyway...

Regarding lease, let's just say that the residuals/lease rates were so poor, I had near zero intention of financing when I walked into the dealership and was 100% positive I wouldn't lease when i left (with my new car ). |

I obviously wanted a GT4, I'm too tall even without a helmet. If I were of average height I'd find a 1 year old Cayman GTS.

He probably didn't have much on it for that price. What was the selling price?

Of course, no one knows what that (depreciation) will be yet. But based on the availability being much more limited than the M4 (at least currently and likely for the next year at least) the depreciation will probably be lower - relatively speaking. But as others have said on other threads, the uncertainty has driven a very conservative residual being set - which is resulting in unreasonably high lease payments. If that pans out, you could potentially recoup by buying out and selling it yourself. But if you like to turn in your leases, yeah you will be paying through the nose. I prefer finance to lease, as I can afford the higher payment up front for the lower cost of ownership overall. |
