Had the dashcam for less than a week!

Had my Thinkware for less than a week and already have put it to use. Tweeted the video to the bus company so will see what they say. Happens around 30 seconds in if you are impatient:

That's just ignorant or downright dangerous. I hope they sack the driver.

Good job you took evasive action OP

It was very poor driving by the bus. While he was in the wrong, you do seem to pause for 4-5 secs rather than follow when the Nissan Juke pulled away, so he might have thought you were turning left or pulling in, but hadn't specified the optional BMW indicator pack.

Out of order.

Well there is an old saying saying "Look at the size of that gap even a bus can fit through there"

Hi mpawood. Any photos of your dash cam installed? I'm thinking of one and would like to see the location in the windscreen. Thanks

I would have been pulling up in front of that bus when it next stopped and getting on to ask WTF.

The only defence the bus driver has, and it's not a defence at all, is that you slowed down to turn left.
... So he could get into the lane he should have been in!

Nice one for sending them a note

Just playing devil's advocate here - if I had to defend the bus driver - @ 0:32 the Nissan in front of you accelerates away and you appear to be hanging back as quite a gap opens up. As the bus passes you he does already have his LH indicator going, so he might be forgiven for thinking that you'd spotted this and were leaving a large gap to let him in. It wasn't until 0:39 you start to accelerate at which point he is already staking a claim to your lane. In your defence he should have slowed a bit more and made sure his assessment of your actions was correct before moving over.

Just a different way of looking at it I guess, but yes I can see why you were miffed. Anyway, glad no-one was harmed.

I can see what your saying but I have to agree you did leave a large gap between the car in front and while the driver should have checked it was your intention, he could have mistaken it for letting him in.

The other thing that caught my attention was the Red Reliant Robin. thought they had all been scrapped by now.

Yes I would have to agree with this, you're lucky you didn't get pranged though, or scuff your alloys avoiding it!

But the bus was in a lane for right turn only so rather than waiting his turn in the correct lane and having to wait a few more seconds for some cars which may or may not turn off left he trys to be a cheeky twat!

Can totally agree with the delay in me pulling away, that's the only potential defense, however it is weak. I was slightly distracted by something on the pavement. That said, it was slow moving the whole high street, I'd kept a decent gap to save constant acceleration and braking, he knows full well it is right turn only lane, as do I, hence I moved over as soon as possible to clear the lane.

No idea, just a few minutes ago he had let me pull out in front of him! As I went past him a honked and put my hands up and he was swearing and gesturing, clearly knew he was wrong!

That's a fair point. The bus may have pulled out from behind him cut into the right turn lane then cut back into the right hand lane, should have waited.

It's not finished yet, I've only got it plugged in via cig lighter. I'll take some pics though as it's still fairly neat. Give me a few hours...
