Cyba scoops and hot side inlets

I know cyba scoops basically do nothing with oem or standard style intakes. Anyone have any idea if they would help with a hot side inlet setup like MMP or VRSF? Idk how good the airflow is to that side before and after scoops and it is the hot side so if flow is better with the scoops maybe it would make a difference.

I think the 335D scoop is your best bet.

The air filter on 335d and all diesels on the right side so the scoop would convey air to the hot side.

I ordered and installed just the scoop part from the 335d (13717791985) and it seems to help with IAT's a bit on the freeway. However, it's not a perfect fit on my e92. Expect to grind/sand down the part that inserts into the front of the car. It's slightly too wide.

I may have to try the snorkel from the 330d (13717790607) but it's a part from a euro model bmw and it's hard to find anywhere online that will ship to the states. Plus I think there are some oil lines in the way.

Scoops in addition to the 335d scoop part would help with air flow but I don't like the way they scoop dirt and sand into the engine bay.

I've been working on a project like this for sometime now. Been mocking something up with sheet metal. Had this idea since I installed my inlets 6 months ago.. Stay tuned
