Touch-up Paint?

Anyone know where to get some LBB touch up paint?

I've previously just bought the touch up kits (paint & clear coat) from the dealership.

I called my dealership about touch up paint for mineral gray and they told me it was not available even after checking the national database. Has anybody been successful in getting their hands on any touch up paint?

Apparently you have to do the dealers job for them. In had to tell them that it's a special order item and give them the paint code. I'll have mine in two days!

Honestly, I've never had good luck with BMW's touch up paint kits.

On a whim, I tried Dr.Colorchip (stupid name, I know). I used it on my E92 M3 which is Sparkling Graphite (not too dissimilar from Mineral Grey) and was super happy with the color match.

Personally, I'd try them out before I bother with the OEM kit.

I recommend this company and product: http://www.apstowerpaint.com/product...ch-up-paint/24

Perfect color match. It's single stage which makes it easy to use. Just give them your BMW color code and they custom mix it.

I've ordered some LBB through the dealer, apparently ex-Germany and will take 3+ weeks to arrive.

BUMPING this up.

What is everyone using for C16 (LBB)?!

Dr. Colorchip?? OR that link in post #7 sounds interesting if they can mix up some C16 that matches well.

I refuse to deal with the OEM 2 stage stuff. Never comes out right.

Looking for a single stage LBB touch up.

I still keep recommending Dr.Colorchip. I've tried Sparkling Graphite and Techno Violet and they both came out great

Touch Up

When I need touch up for any car, I normally go by my local body shop with the paint code and get them to mix me some. They can do small quantities and also mix it with a clear.
DR Colorchip works well and is a faster fix than what I do.
