Rim and Tire Insurance

Did anyone purchase Rim and Tire through their dealer? The best I was offered was full 3 year protection for a little under 3K. Way too overpriced.

Get tire ins for $100 from your local tire shop. Self insure the wheels.

I am, 5 year plus cosmetic coverage for $2,500. It's my DD and it covers winter set too. I've had the coverage on my last three BMWs, paid for themselves between replaced tires and dented wheels.

These tires won't last 6 years. About 15,000 miles for most so the tire part is really a one or two year warranty.

If any tire has a cut that is deep, it counts as replacement. Even if you get new tires. Well, that's my policy.
