Different CF on interior package?

Does anybody already have the PP interior package installed? Is it exactly the same carbon fiber as the rest of the interior or is it coated?

Yeah that's what I thought but I'd like to know from someone that actually has it installed. On a German forum people are saying its a different coating.

I saw the thread on 2ertalk, you also linked my old thread when I got the kit.
If you order the M2 kit it will be open pore and exactly the same as the stock CF inside the car. But there is a M3/M4 kit available too that is clear coated.

These trim pieces look very nice in person! As metrickid mentioned, the carbon weave exactly matches the factory BMW pattern already found in the M2:

I have more shots of the kit here:

Do you think it's possible to add blue stitching going down the right side of the flat alcantara dct knob surround? In pics it looks like it needs something more there. Maybe it's not so bad once installed?

Can you specify which parts you mean ? http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...28&postcount=1

6MT has stock the Alcantara cover/bag with Polar Blue stitching.

Do you mean the alternative MT gear knob or Alcantara vents surround, etc. ?

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to find out about the $1000-ish option for the CF and Alacantra cabin upgrade on the MT cars. Will it be an Alacantra boot, a CF brake handle and a CF shift knob?
