DCT service

My n55 With DCT has done 46.5k miles now, when should I service this 'lifetime' gearbox oil? And where? I'm in Southampton, brystone are quoting me £400 which is a bit steep? Any advice

You need around 6L of trans fluid at £22 a litre and the screws need to all be replaced. That's why it's pricey.

You are supposed to never need to change it. I changed mine (at just under 50k miles) as it was leaking. A common issue.

£400 is a fair price. Just make sure you have confidence in them. You don't want them to mess up a trans that was $10,000 new. They have to make sure they fill it up with the right level and that it's not short on fluid.

I have DCT and my car just turned 70k. I changed my oil at 50k and also the sump cover - this stops the oil leaks at least temporarily. They all leak btw.

I think £400 is well steep. I use TWG automotive in Camberley which is a bit of a drive for you but top guys.
