anyone know how to get to the headlights?

anyone know how to get to the back of the headlights. I lifted the hood but I dont think I could pull it out from there. Would it require front bumper removal?

I thank BMW for one complicated ass headlight

Turn your wheels all the way in 1 direction, then look inside the wheel well panel. There are 2 access panels for the head- and fog- lights. two knobs on each, 1/2 turn and you're in.

You need to pop off the cover panel, which is held in place by a torsion bar. You can get to most things in there, but yet it is a tight fit.

Have you looked at realoem.com schematics? That usually helps...

What Reach said; there is a thin metal bar that goes across the back of the headlight cover, pull that DOWN and the cover will wiggle off. Then you can get to your HID bulb, blinkers, sidemarker bulb, etc. Not sure which "ambers" you are trying to get rid of but the blinkers can NOT be changed, you can change the sidemarker bulb in the headlight though. That will be on the right/left side of the headlight you kind of just have to reach in blindly and un-do it. I changed mine to a chrome/amber wedge bulb to get rid of the egg yolk look.
