Anyone else out of production and waiting on a boat to the West Coast?

Mine's been sitting there for about a week now and hasn't caught a ride.

Just finished production beginning of this week so I think they probably rolled off the line together. Lets hope no one was starting their weekend early with the German beer right? So now begins the long wait for the slow boat to Long Beach? How long do you think it will be before it winds up at your dealer?

Mine was assembled 4/14. Thursday seems like a good day. This is my first order so I don't know what to expect.

You guys socal or Norcal? I'm taking the $5k mark up and ordering tomorrow. I'm hoping the wait isn't tk long. Where did you guys buy and was there a markup?

NOcal. No markup either. It's against corporate policy at the dealership.

Well please share what dealer?? The only one I know are East BMW and they have 30 people on there waiting list

The guys who have been able to get one for the most part are the guys who have worked the phones and called every dealer they can find. I am sure you can find a car if you have some flexibility on location and perhaps options. Last I checked auto trader had 16 available ranging from MSRP to 20k over. I am sure there are more cars out there than the 16 that can be had.

Just got an email from SA that car is "on a boat" now. Eta to port is 5/20.

So I just got off the phone with BMW Genius and they say that mine has left the port and is estimated to arrive at vehicle processing center in 24 days. So I think its safe to say we are boat mates.

So If it hits Long Beach on the 20th it will probably take another 2 days or so to process and maybe another 1-2 days to make it up to my dealer I'm guessing. Sounds like I need to make travel plans.

Is your car going to a So Cal dealer?

Mine is on the Tiger, so bet yours is too. It's a slow cruise with a lot of stops though.

Yeah I've mentally started the final countdown. Here's hoping nothing got broken in transit. I hope it processes through and up to Vegas quickly. I tracked it online as it was going through the Panama Canal. Pretty cool. Thanks for the link.

I've been doing other things, but I need to plan for memorial day weekend. I've got 4 days off and don't want to sit home waiting for a truck to show up.

Mine was released to trucking company the 25th. Still hasn't been loaded onto a truck though.
