HELP ASAP, thanks :)

My salesman said that my order might get delayed because I changed something..

If I change my order two weeks before planned prod, will BMW reschedule my production and delay it? I changed seats to non electric, If that matters in this issue.

and also worth mentioning, its has status 105 like all other orders in Sweden and BMW sweden forwards the orders manually(?)

is there an issue in the factory here or?

HELP PLS, BEEN WAITING TWO YEARS NOW AND I ORDERED 14TH OCT

When you receive a production date, that is the date your car is supposed to be finished being built, NOT when it starts.

Usually it takes two weeks from start to finish for a build.

So yes, if you changed it last minute, there's a very high likelihood your car had already started production and now they need to find a new allocation slot to build your modified order. At the rate things are going, you'll be pushed to a MY17.

If the car is still in status 112 it should not cause any delays.

This. A bird in the hand. This is another reason I chose not to wait too.

But you can change anything while the vehicle is in status 112. That's why it sits for 48-72 hours in this status. You could go from BSM/DCT/EXEC to AW/6spd and it would not change the production time. Once the vehicle gets to status 150 it is no longer modifiable no matter how much you try.

Man, wish our local BMW dealer would agree to this. Said 112 they could not change it and were not willing to do anything! Lazy.

It sucks that some dealers are doing this to you guys.

It makes me appreciate the stress I go through for my customers. At least I give them the options...

That is true if BMW has the other options stocked at the moment. Maybe they are low on manual seats or DCT boxes or whatever the option is. Then a simple change can screw up your build.

I've had cars delayed after a change of interior color (stock option, not individual) just because BMW didn't have inventory at that specific date.

Yes, wish we had someone local like you instead of sales BS.

I tried calling bmw NA also and they said they could not change anything, has to go thru the CA.

You have any other recommendations? We are simply trying to change the color, nothing else. Car is in status 112 until week 18 for production to start. Which is about week and half, then will be in 150.

What are the running out of? Blue stitching and black leather?

I just don't understand with the limited color/packages/transmission options why there would be a denial to change your build.

I was just pointing out that a simple change CAN delay your build if you are unlucky as that was the question in the OP.

I hate hate hate hate saying this.

But call the new car sales manager. Send emails all day long requesting a color change.

Let him know the situation. You have a vehicle in status 112 and all you want to do is change the color.

It literally will take him 5 mins to complete

I'm just messing around. I have had a individual order since January stirring in status 111.

Client just called me up yesterday and said that they will be moving to the west coast end of June... Awesome.

EDIT:
And it's only now in status 112!!!

Tried that and with CA.

They said cannot change once 112.

Which I know is BS because I have heard 150 from numerous sources.

I'd call the Sales Manager 2-3 times a day. Yeah, it's a bit annoying.

But then again.

Do you want to purchase a vehicle from them if they are ignoring such a simple request?

I know for a fact that its planned for production first week in may, delivery first week in june.

so will two weeks +-3 days be enough time for BMW to "prepare" the inventory for my car? or could it be delayed for some other bs?

And that's why I got a launch car. I would've lost my mind waiting for an allocation and then build process.
