Guys,

be aware that it includes 18,000 EUR special automobile tax (in NL called BPM). True value of that car with VAT is around 70,000 EUR.

Also it is only available after the 1st of September.... Why? No clue why...

Good to buy the car now whatever the price, maybe in a few more years you can't buy a petrol car in NL!

Wow. An 18,000 EUR tax in addition to the VAT? That's insane.

How much do you end up paying to the government in all on a new M2?

I guess I won't complain about the 6.25% sales tax we have to pay in Massachusetts...

Nevermind the USA, I thought We had it bad in Canada. So this car must really be out of reach for the majority over there...unless incomes are proportionally higher...

Exactly, but no real poverty whatsoever, even unemployed, refugees etc. all get their democratic/socialistic share and 'we' pay those ridiculous taxes for 'them' so to speak.

And the climate sucks too overhere!

For all you guys and especially for Robin...

This is what I found in the configurator on the BMW.NL website, and since I do not know the complete spec of the wrapped car, there is at least 18K BPM in that car.

Netto price € 50.911,00
VAT 21% € 10.691,00
BPM € 18.387,00
Total € 79.989,00

In this configurator, I took the details for a stock car with a decent amount of standard options and DCT, but no additional options.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong and give me a more exact amount for the taxes, but this is what I based my numbers on.

Oh and total taxes paid on a 80K car in NL is 29K. Here you have one of my reasons why I left that country.

MR, you forgot options like electric seats, metallic colour(it's black ) and other options/stuff(rv camera/keyless go etc). So the car is about €84/5 k (ex MPE and other MP stuff(which is ex BPM off course)

79.990 is base price and 18.400 is base BPM I agree with that(off course: it's in the list)

Cheers

Pot, hookers on every corner, cheese, Heineken in the waterworks, a lot of flowers, dikes(lol) and a nice 'quiet' life.

I'm living an hour driving from the German border and the cars ar cheaper there that's true, but I don't like Merkel at all.

MR

Net value of the car before any VAT or BPM is 51.000 eur.

The BPM is crazy and progressively discriminates cars that have high co2 emissions. Mustang V8 has >50.000 eur penalty

However, cars that are a little older don't have such big differences with german prices. My 2008 987 Boxster S is roughly the same in Germany (around 30k)

So, it is a serious anooyance for car enthousiast but directly a reason to leave the country.
