Headlight broke - option to upgrade?

My passenger side headlight points straight at the ground. My mechanic indicated that it needed to be replaced. Since replacements aren't cheap, is there an upgrade I should consider, or is the upgrade simply the bulb?

Edit: I have the adaptive xenon's on my LCI

Any non-OEM is a downgrade IMO. So no, there is no upgrade option.

That's what I figured, but thought I'd ask. Cheapest place to get an OEM replacement?

I would try to find a used one from a reputable vendor. Should be around $400 or so. I wouldn't buy this kind of stuff without some sort of return policy.

Questions: Did you hit a pot hole recently AND do you have run flats?

I keep seeing threads like this and I think there is a correlation between the harshness of run flats and the shock it sends thru the front end when going over rough roads.

Headlamps on a $50,000 car shouldn't just fail like that after such a short time.

I agree. I don't have runflats, but I hit a serious pothole last year which damaged my wheels and tires, that I'm guessing is when it may have broke and I just didn't notice it until recently since I don't drive in the dark very often.

If that's the case, then you might not have a broken headlight after all. Check out this thread.

Good looking out. I'll have to take a look next weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed!
