M performance shifter

Does the M performance shifter for the m235i fit the M2 manual shifter?

if you are talking about the stick, Yes. although be warned I think it feels cheaper.

Here's a pic of someone who already did this and looks pimp to me. But i'll be buying the one for the M2 when it's available.

Hey that's me! I love the way it looks. It's not as heavy as the stock knob, so some may say it feels cheap. But I prefer the shape of the MP knob.

And to answer the OP's question, the knob fits. But the knob is attached to the boot, and the MP boot for cars other than the M2 has WHITE stitching. So first you have to separate the boot from the knob.

BMW dealers here in the states can order the MP boot/knob specifically for the M2. Should take a couple of weeks to get here

although it pains me to gut a perfectly new shift knob, if I can get my hands on one sooner than a 'couple weeks' then I'm attempting to do an LED retrofit to make this an illuminated knob. will document proceedings
