Can someone tell me what this plug is for?

I recently replaced my valve cover gasket. And when I went to plug the battery back up I noticed this wire hanging and not plugged in. I don't know if I accidentally unplugged it when I was doing that work or if I don't need it. Any help appreciated thank you.

It's only used during shipping to the dealer.

BMW should put a tag on it. There are countless "what is this plug" threads.

pretty sure that goes to the battery cable thing that goes "pop" when the air bags deploy. I dont think it need to be plugged in as it is only there when the car is being shipped just so the cable doest deploy wheb the car is on a truck being shipped or whatever.
