Window won't go all the way up....not enough to seal no wind noise
I am getting some wind noise on the driver side.
I noticed the window doesn't go all the way up into the seal. I reset the window like 5 times. Changed the angle of it with the adjustment screw inside the door panel...Nothing is working. Look at these pics. One side it goes all the way up (pass. side) Drivers side does not.

I think diagnosis will require removing door trim and vapor barrier and then observing glass movement and inspecting the channels and around for anything restricting the movement. Before that you can start by checking the visible door glass channels around the window frame for anything stuck there preventing full movement

How did you try to adjust it? The Bentley manual has a long procedure for it, but in involves special tools.
It basically says to delete the power window initialization, remove the weatherstripping from the window channel, loosen the two adjustment nuts and then the window can be moved around. Attach a suction cup to the outside of the window and move it up until it's aligned correctly. The retraction depth at the upper back corner of the window should be 3.5mm +- 0.5mm. |
