CTEK 3300......should i leave it plugged in?

I wont be driving my car until the airbag issue is fixed so i picked up a CTEK 3300 to keep the battery in good shape. I plugged it in yesterday afternoon, and this morning the green light came on indicating it was fully charged.

My question is: should i just leave it plugged in, or should i take it off now that the battery indicates charged?

Yes, you definitely want a battery tender hooked up and keeping the battery charged. Otherwise it can drain down and ruin the battery.

You seriously won't drive it because of the recall? Somehow it was fine to drive for years but is too dangerous now?

I gave my car away at the supermarket due to the airbag issue. The woman didn't believe it was for real. I told her I am not joking, it's as-is, don't be telling me down the road that there's an airbag issue. She even gave me her groceries and drove away. I was very sad, but I had to do it. Now I got a bus pass.

Well, my dealer gave me a rental so i took it.

It was just as dangerous all those years i drove it, but the difference is we know about it now. If it is serious enough for them to do a massive recall, its serious enough for me. Some girl just died a week ago from this same airbag....minor accident and now she is dead.

My wife is pregnant and i have an 18 month old daughter....why risk it?

We're poking fun at you, so no worries, and congrats on the toddler and the newborn on the way.

Did your dealer give you a car to use, and let you keep yours until there is an airbag fix? That sounds really good imho....

CTEK 3300 is a great product..

My E90 has been sitting in my garage, hooked up everyday continuously for the last... 3 months? ... I think I've driven my car 2 or 3 times this winter, and un-plug the charger, go drive, come home and hook my car right back up.
