Wiper Blades

Am I supposed to feel it when the wiper blades hit their peak....on the gas pedal?

As in, when it hits it's peak and come back, I feel a bit of a vibration/quick jerk when my foot is on the gas pedal. I feel it most when not in motion.

What do the two have to do with one another? If this is the case, I've never felt it in 9 yrs. of owning my car. Maybe I haven't noticed it, and now I'll notice it everytime I drive in the rain. Sounds annoying.

That would be crazy if that the next time I drive my car in the rain, I notice the gas pedal is vibrating. I'll be like wth thanks a lot for starting that thread so that I notice an issue I never knew I had...

They can make a pretty good thud that you can feel in the cabin.

No mate, you shouldn't feel your wiper blades in your pedal.

Maybe change them?

Ya - I have felt that thud/thump when every time the wipers are on. Seems like another common BMW feature on our rides - keeps you awake when driving in rains

Though seriously, can something be adjusted to make the wipers arms quieter?

The wiper blades could be worn out and not gliding on the windshield like they should. I would replace them and see if it still does it.

I actually did notice this a couple of days ago, every time the wiper blades return you can feel a little "thump" on the gas pedal!

If it's strong enough to thump the gas pedal, it must be giving my rain sensor a little concussion each time, which would explain its effectiveness.
