That's why I said with BBS mods, so in other words adding forced induction. You can easily get 200+bhp out of them and they are plenty fun with sweetest gearshift around.

Any Elise takes a lot of beating but you cant go far wrong with an MX5.

You could just about squeak a Caterham or a well sorted Westfield.

Good hunting.

S2000 - no question, they come alive on track and punch well above the power figures would have you believe.

Plus they are appreciating so if you want one you need to move quickly.

+1 on an s2000 as my mate had one and it was much quicker than my other friends 2.0l mx5 and it sounded really good.. I personally always wanted a vx220 turbo as my uncle went on a track day in a caterham, an evo, a touring car and vx220t and he said the vauxhall was the most fun and it was a standard road car too.

Yep lol.

Also remember while at school, popping to local chemists (with big red face) to get some condoms.

Then going to visit new gf.

Only to find out her mum was the woman that sold them to me.

You can't go wrong with an S2000, the wife had one back in 2002 and she absolutely loved it, cracking engine the likes of which we will never see again in a mainstream car unfortunately

Good choice, hope you enjoy! Just be careful, S2000 can be a real widowmaker with very small window of recovery before ending up in a hedge. Perhaps new modern tyres and perhaps a few chassis mods can eliminate this very spiky handling. Had a mate who owned one and he had a couple of terrifying moments in it, so went back to a Z4

Depends on the MY, they made major suspension changes over the years. Updated in 2002 as the early cars were a handful, then another big jump in 2004 for the facelift car and they kept tweaking things like the ARB's over the years post.

Looking forward to seeing the pictures Also if you don't mind saying how much did you pay for it?

I'd been thinking of getting a second hand Boxster but this could be a good option. An MX5 would be too slow.

Just watch the geo bolts as they seize solid if not regularly maintained and you then can't adjust the wheel alignment, one of the biggest issues to watch out for.

Yes I wanted a boxter to but the guy who does my cars said that it may well prove more problematic and expensive and possibly less fun than the Honda... Like many on here he felt the s2000 was a good bet.
