Loud Radiator Fan Noise

Hello,

The car i am having issues with is a 2006 330i with about 122k miles on it. The last couple of days on the initial start up the radiator fan gets extremely loud (like a jet engine). I turn the car off immediately and then right back on and it does not happen again. Car runs perfectly normal afterwards (as far as i can tell). Upon further research it looks like it could be the water pump or the thermostat... Is it ok to still drive the car? For 3 days in a row it did this upon initial start up...however this morning I turned the car on and it did not occur- everything ran normal with no issues. I am still worried the water pump or thermo have started to fail- or will in the near future.. just wanted to see if anyone had any insight on the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like water pump. Get fixed as soon as possible. Blast the heat to lower engine temp.
