Installing LED bulbs in car without HID headlights
Is it possible to install these:
http://www.carhidkits.com/index.php?...FQJZhgodphUHEg in a 2011 328xi that has no HID headlight setup? Basically I just want to replace the regular h8/h11 bulbs with the led ones. Thanks for any response! Sorry if this has been posted before I'm using the iPhone app and it gave me an error when I searched. |

You can. You might get an error though.

it is possible to code out those errors if they do pop up when using led bulbs. i am planning to replace my H8 angel eye bulbs with LED lamps and code out the bulb check in the NFRM.

If you don't have Hids you can buy an aftermarket kit. Make sure it's "error free" or is "canbus" or comes with an "error cancellor/resistor". Do not make the mistake of buying an LED bulb. The light out put will be crap and you won't see anything. Get HIDS. less are completely different and are not suitable for headlight low beams.

You will need to code and I don't know if those particular ones will have enough output.
I recommend an HID kit instead. HPB is good error free hid kit. No coding required for 2008+ vehicles. |

I couldn't find in the listing the lumens output which is more important. I know HPB also sells LED low beam replacement upgrades. If you'd like I'd be more then happy to reach out to them to see what they recommend for a low beam application that is friendly in any housing. or I can pass you their email here at Sales@highperformancebulbs.com They are the experts and they will be able to tell you the best for your application. I'm going to assume that any option wherever you buy from still may require coding. |
