What do you have to do nowadays to loose your licence

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016...f-ban-because/

A 4ft tall driver clocked at almost 100mph has been spared a ban because his stature meant he would struggle to find employment that does not involve driving.
Garry Stephen's Vauxhall Corsa was caught in a police speed trap between Lossiemouth and Elgin in north-east Scotland earlier this year.
The 25-year-old later admitted to driving at 96mph in a 60mph zone, the Aberdeen Press & Journal reported.
But when he appeared for sentencing at Elgin Sheriff Court on Thursday, his solicitor pleaded for Sheriff Chris Dickson to let him keep his licence.

WTF??

A ban for 96mph is harsh isn't it?!

96 mph on the A941, shocking.

Not trying hard enough you can go considerably faster than that on that road.

Lossie straight is a well known licence losing road

Garage List
That's pretty impressive 96 mph in a booster seat.

Next time you're up here watch out for the white van on the A941. They seem to spend a fair bit of time on that road at their 3 regular spots.
But it is tempting isn't it

I have done some absolutely stupid speeds on that road.

Likely faster than any other bit in England.

Admittedly I have also been in a car that came off the bridge.

Can you remember at weekends, Saturday morning the odd car that went to fast on the bend into the forest (from Elgin going to Lossiemouth).

The Chinese owners sun / mates put 4 cars in the field at the bottom lol.

There's been a couple this winter that have ended up in the fields near both tight bends, especially the first one (coming from Elgin). Probably just winding up for the long straight and getting caught out with a wee bit of black ice.
Daft buggers

Yeah the road there the camber pushes you outwards and its tight lol.

I hit the fence one time (well I was 21 lol).

A friends son was killed just a bit further along and a mate as well.

I watched an episode of motorway cops the other day. They had lowlifes after lowlife being arrested for all kinds of horrific vehicle crimes - thefts from burglaries, failing to stop after wrecking car after car etc. One lass shoplifted a carful of goods, had no insurance, the belong was lent to her boyfriend by a friend they didn't know the name of, with no MOT, bald tyres etc etc - she got a £150 fine (she never paid)!

Most crims were virtually let off with a slap on the wrist. Banning that type would have no effect.

So the 4ft tall working fella shouldn't really be demonised IMO.

I was followed this evening by a unmarked Audi A4 on the A1 I was doing 100-110mph, I saw him tracking me (but didn't know he was an unmarked car) but something didn't seem right so I slowed down to 90mph, pulled in to let him past but he hung back, so I moved out to overtake another car at about 95mph.

He then moved up behind me so I pulled to the left, this was when he moved across the front of my car positioning himself in the middle of both lanes and let rip the blues and twos...

Oh shit I thought, I knew it! Bollocks I'm knackered here etc....then he just wagged his finger in the rear view mirror and drove off!

Lucky lad...
