e90 320D brake discs, pads and rear caliper replacement
Guys for my e90 320D I need replace all these parts below:
Front brake discs and pads Rear discs and pads Wear sensors Rear brake caliper Rear brake hose One of my friends suggested I could buy all these parts on http://www.eurocarparts.com/ and get them fitted by a local garage. How do I know which parts exactly to order and is this a safe option? Thanks. Satish |

Hi Satish,
Euro Car Parts are one of the largest parts dealers in the UK, good prices and availability. You can use quidco.com and get a small cashback on online order (reserve and collect or deliver). Also if you place items in your basket, leave it a couple of days they'll send you a nice reminder and 15% off code I would personally stick to Brembo disks and pads if your looking to keep your car standard. They have a search panel on the site where you simply put your reg and then it simple shows you the relevant parts for your car. |

If your getting them fitted by a local garage, its probably worthwhile speaking to them first.
Its possible that they'll be able to get the bits cheaper than you can with their trade discount. It also minimises any hassle if they send the wrong parts etc, as the garage can just get straight back onto their supplier, whereas if you've supplied them the jobs on hold until you sort it out. If you price the bits up yourself on the site as explained above though, you'll have a ballpark figure to work with. If the garage are trying to charge more than you can get them for, then you can challenge it or buy them yourself. |

Having had a number of issues with non-OEM discs and pads, my advice would be to get Jurid (OEM supplier and available from GSF I believe).

For what it's worth, I've just put standard EBC discs on the front of my 335d with yellowstuff pads all round and no different. Stops on a 6 pence.
£40 cheaper than the £200 Eurocar parts wanted for two discs. Others are correct though, they will send you a 15% off code a few days later. |

as i said earlier, price up the parts yourself on the web so you know what it all costs, then get some quotes and compare.
I replaced all the brakes on my 330d for just over £200 in parts. A caliper and hose might add a futher £100 or so. I got all my bits from Jason at All German Parts. It was Jurid and Febi bits IIRC. £300 in labour seems a little excessive to me, but will depend on the labour rate in your area etc. |
