Third (center) LED Brake Light Failure?

Before I go off and buy a new one, has anybody had their center "high mount stop lamp" brake light fail? None of the LEDs are lighting up. I tested voltage at the plug and it was getting 14-ish.

I don't have an idrive warning or any codes. I'm somewhat surprised that it didn't tell me the light was out (like it does every other light), but since it's LED maybe it assumes it will never go out.

I have no idea how long it's been out. I noticed today when my wife pulled it into the carport.

This is a 2008 sedan.

Update: Bought a used light assembly off ebay for $35, and it works. The old one just quit working for whatever reason.
