OBD2 wireless transmitter
I have DashCommand on my iPhone 6, with a wireless connection to an OBD2 transmitter. In principle, it is great, but it often has trouble connecting to the transmitter.
I am wondering if anyone can recommend a reliable OBD2 transmitter that has worked for them. The one I have now was very cheap to buy and that may be the problem. |

The brand name is Ikkegol and it comes up as CLK (I think, too lazy to go out to the car and check)

I bought this one and it connects every time, it also has auto shutoff. It also comes with software to trouble shoot when your car throws an error.

I got one like this, but from a different seller (probably ebay) http://www.gearbest.com/obd-diagnost...eJ0aAi948P8HAQ
Works great with Torque Pro. I had to set the right protocols explicitly to make sure it connected (probably more app related than adapter related). |

There's a huge sticky thread in the Navigation and Electronics forum on this topic.
If you have an iPhone or iPod, you'll have better luck with Wi-Fi as opposed to Bluetooth. I got this adapter and use it with an iPod Touch and Dash Command. I like this adapter because it has an auto-sleep feature as well as a power switch: http://www.amazon.com/iKKEGOL-Diagno...DYJFJH79D5SRP6 Not sure if it's the same one you have, but I have had good luck with mine. Connects quickly and I've never seen it disconnect.
