M Performance Brake Pads
Anyone know when these are available? Or maybe produce a part number for ordering?

Should be the same as for the F80/82 as the brakes are identical.

I drove these pads on M2 barcelona track.
Brake performance is fine. But 340 euro rear and 460 euro front price is to expensive you can better buy aftermarket from Pagid. I think these performance pads are Pagid yellow s RS19 or RS29 The squeak when the pads are warm if you drive slowly and brake. Last edited by Advevo; 04-08-2016 at 06:23 AM.. |

Alot of us in the 2 forums use the EBC Yellow pads for double duty. They're cheap and they work.
Pagids are great too (better than EBC), but they are quite loud for street use. Just kind of a trade-off.

I've always wondered the proper protocol dealing with rotors if I change the street pads to the race pads for track use, then back for street use again. Proper way to clean the deposits off between compounds?

Some people actually will go through the trouble of running a really brutal pad, like a Hawk Blue, to remove deposits. Other people just do their best to avoid leaving uneven deposits on the track (slow cool down laps, when pulling into the pits stopping the car with the e-brake, etc.). If you can manage to avoid big uneven deposits, your street pads may very well feel fine and you may not feel a need to re-bed. Any of those things, or have a set of track rotors and a set of street rotors.

Picked up my M2 at the performance center last week. Had lunch with Matt Mullins the chief instructor at the school. As metrikid said the M3 pads will work. However, he did say that they were going to release an M2 specific version too. He didn't know the exact timing or what the differences were. He thought but wasn't sure that they changed the compound slightly. We'll see but wanted to pass on what he told me.

Would be nice if someone could find these for a lot less. I definitely don't want to spend $800 on pads.

Rotor hone attached to a cordless drill. I had really bad deposits causing what felt like warped rotors on track on my GT-R switching between Hawk and OEM pads for track/street. One pass with the rotor hone and re-bed fixed it.
