The main thing wrong with the CPS is they would rather take a lesser charge that is guaranteed success, than risk taking something to court that they have to fight and possibly lose.
It's all about statistics, CPS briefs are shocking, and if you knew what happened when cases go to court you would be surprised.
Not just high profile cases, pretty much all cases are like this.
As with everything, the CPS is statistics driven and even with loads of good, as in forensic evidence, they still try to reduce the charges.
CPS should actually stand for Criminal Protection Service. Lol.
