ETA - Ship dock to Dealership?

So it seems my car had landed in the country/city, yet my dealership is telling me that the car won't arrive at the dealership until 14/4. Is that normal? A 2 week turnaround from dock to dealership seems a little long? Is this what others have experienced or am I just getting impatient?

And how long does the dealership need the car before handover to customer?(I have sent an email to my dealership about this question a few days ago, but still no reply)

Cheers

G'day Mate,

on average on all my previous orders it has taken 9-10 days to reach the dealership from the port. all my cars were turned around at the dealership including tint in 24hrs but again it depends on what is booked in that day and the next I would guess. You cant expect a customer to wait overnight to have their car in for a service but easy to delay delivery by a day or 3. Your wait is nearly over now its landed :-) congrats.

It's always quoted as 2 weeks and generally turns up within 10 days give or take.

If it's taking more than 14 days they've probably crashed it and are wondering wtf to do!

^ Yep allow 10 days. Stay positive and all will be good, anything longer you need to still stay positive and don't get into your head something has happened. Don't ask me how I know this.

I know about your story, my heart went out to you. Hope everything is sorted now?

I know how frustrating it was for you. I would have freaked out myself ...

So I have a new status update. Can anyone clarify what 'delivered from' means exactly? Thanks

I believe its cleared customs and should be booked on transport to dealership. Considering the discharged date in 31/3/16 then I doubt its at the port anymore and either at the dealership or inbound depending on the dealership your using in relation to distance from the port.

Ghosn....we need to wait another week!...or that's what i'm told, it takes 7 working days from "Delivered From" date for the car to be ready for pickup at the dealership

Froozn, sounds about right. I spoke with my rep today and he told me the car should arrive at the dealership on Monday, so give or take a day or two for dealer prep, I should be able to pick the car up hopefully Tuesday/Wednesday!

Exciting times!
