JB4 installed and major issues..

Hi guys

Installed JB4 today the newest version, ran car on map 5 as I have catless downpipes and DCI. Automatic

When driving my EML came on with following codes:
P0087- fuel rail/system pressure- too low
P0192- fuel rail pressure sensor circuit A low
P0301- cylinder 1 misfire detected

Reset them and off I went again, gave it some throttle and changing up gears and whilst changing it was jurking not selecting gear on autobox, then the dreaded transmission sign came on and the car seemed to be stuck in a certain gear.. Pulled over turned ignition off waited and started her back up, transmission symbol away and I can now select all the gears. Took it back up motorway then it shat itself coming up with P0301 cylinder 1 misfire and it was juddering when accelerating..

Any help or input greatly appreciated.

I have since reset codes and put map to 0 all is fine.

My gear oil was changed in the auto box recently car is at 73k miles..

In terms of the misfire, I'd check the coils.. You can swap them around to see if its faulty.. Personally I just changed all 6 coils when I had a misfire..

And change all 6 spark plugs...

Yeah I've read that could be the issue. Where and what coil and plugs to get.

Gearbox making me worried?

First thing a lot of folks would recommend is to replace all ignition coils and spark plugs prior to doing the JB4 install.

JB4 will technically speed up the rate of the things in your car are not up to par (so to say).

Before you do any of this stuff mate ensure you have up to date firmware on the JB4.

Make sure your default settings are correct and that FOL isn't set too high.

Check duty bias and AFR settings.

I doubt you have issues yet. I may be wrong.

Maybe start off on map 1 as it's less aggressive than the auto learning map 5.

An automatic doesnt have a clutch.

you've given us engine codes, but what fault codes were in the transmission ECU?

Looks like it could all relate to the FOL value. Lack of fuel. Misfire.
Easy to happen on a JB4 with incorrect settings.

No codes on transmission it was literally the transmission symbol I plugged in and no relevant codes.. No clutch in automatics?

It's JB4 with latest G5 software. It's a box I recently purchased from eBay and apparently only 4 months old

Theres a torque converter between the engine and box in the position of the clutch on a manual car.

They dont really wear out though.

Make sure you get bosch plugs. Do Not get the denso ones

Look up German Auto supply on ebay. They sell them for the lowest I've seen

I agree with AWSAWS in checking your JB4 settings and making sure you are definitely up to date with the software. As you say you bought it off eBay and the seller states it's only 4 months old but can't be 100% sure.

Certainly seems strange it's all ok in Map0 if their were more fundamental issues with coils etc.

Just got Bosch coils and Bosch spark plugs from euro car parts spark plugs same as what real OEM quote, coils are the silver banded ones took a bit of a guess as they had other Bosch but black banded. Used the EASTER20 code and got all sets for £169

Basically check THIS THREAD out for all the info needed to install the interface software onto a Windows laptop etc.

Once you install it you can use the cable to check everything on your JB4 and the version numbers etc.

Hang on, are you actually running a diesel 325D?

Do you have a JB4 or JBD?

I'm thinking you've not updated your 'drives' status to a 335i?

I've had the car scanned and fault code on gearbox was 4F8A ratio monitoring, gearshift 4-5..

29CD- combustion misfire cylinder 1 (I've ordered coils and plugs for this)

2DED Power management, closed circuit current violation.

This is all since fitting JB4 the gear change when in 4 to 5 with around 13psi (map1) is like it's hunting for the gear and slips.

It's a slow communication with cam time line according to the technician. Is there settings for the JB4 that can be altered to rectify this or have I a dud box..

I've had my adaptions reset on autobox as it reached it limit for learning driving modes..

Again any help would be great or get tagging to who has same experiences.

Thankyou
