Stuart, for just stage 1, is it only 2 connections ? Could be interested in the EWG as have been researching the BMS stage 1. Not planning on FBO until further into warranty

Yes just two connections for the stage 1 - makes it easy to remove and re-install for servicing... but seeing as servicing happens once a year at BMW it's a difference between a 5-10 minute process and a 20-30minute process.

I would recommend the JB4 though - it's not much more expensive, allows updating of firmware and settings, map switching and on EWG cars direct control over the wastegates (with the add on connector)
