Auto levelling sensors retrofit question
So, I've had my bi-xenon headlamps installed in my 2007 e90 330d for a while. FRM2 XE also installed and coded. Works really well as is, but I still have a unused connectors for for front and rear sensors which came with the BMW retrofit harness. The cheap price of sensor / parts means this should be a no brainer to do, and pretty simple as all the wiring is done.
The retrofit PDF file is for LHD drive cars however. I just want to double check that everything is reversed for RHD? I assume retrofit level sensors are both installed front and back on the DRIVERS side - in our case RH side? Anyone be able to take a quick photo for me of their sensors installed? Thanks in advance. |

I've done the full retrofit and I installed mine on the passenger side, front and rear, reason for this was there's a 'notch that the sensor butts upto on the lower arm on passenger side, but saying that I'm not sure if it is on the drivers arm too I haven't looked

My car has factory Xenons, and the sensors are mounted on the passenger side.
The diagram even shows this... The only difference on RHD cars is that dotted line! |

As Aragorn says the dotted line is only applicable to RHD cars.
Done the retrofit myself with levellers so I know

Sensible_ Your inbox is full, but yes, I used the proper harness, the wires go behind the dash.

Finally got round to putting this all in. Thanks all for your tips.
All in all I think total cost was around the £550 mark. Pretty pleased with the results. Auto levellers working great and error free. Next up, washer retrofit! |
