E90 Angel eye ring color temp?

I think I might be the only one who actually likes the yellow tint of the oem rings so I haven't been able to find out that color temp they actually are. I'm looking to replace them them with a brighter bulb that can be seen more in the day. Any suggestions? FYI I have a BSM E90 lci with the adaptive xenons. Pic attached for reference sorry for the large size

Car is beautiful especially with those rims. Are they OEM?

The stock halogen bulb is a 2700K color. I would not recommend attempting a higher wattage halogen bulb as that would create too much heat and possibly damage the headlight.

One option is you can look into coding to keep them at full power, but again that will introduce more heat to the headlight.

Another option is Amber LED's, but that will be closer to the blinker color and not really what you are looking for ( i think)

There are some 2700K LED's available if you were looking to make a custom LED setup. Send me a message if your interested and i can help you out if your want.

Thank you sir, she's a work in progress. The rims are the 19in M313's from a 335is. Some coils and spacers are next on my list

Thanks for the input you always seem to be helping people out in this subforum and it is appreciated I was looking into your adjustable halo bulbs but those don't seem to go so low in color temperature. I'll probably just hold off and go a custom route

Dude i posted about this a long time ago. You're not alone!!!
Although i absolutely love the lux ambers. The only reason i havent purchased yet is because they have to make them custom for my pre lci and its a bit costly for me personally.

Oh yea and props to lux. They always respond when you need lighting help

LUX is amazing when it comes to fast replies and good service. Have dealt with them before, and couldn't be happier. Anyways, that is one mean looking E90. Which lip do you have on it?

Yea they contacted me about making somthing a little custom to fit my taste but I'd rather save the money and put it towards some fully custom headlights. Found this old thread on the m3 forums it might help a couple other people. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...=669174&page=8

Just a little update with pics. These are the Nokya 2500k AE bulbs I got, far too yellow for my taste... basically JDM foglight yellow. Just gonna put back in the stock bulbs and code them brighter.

Left is stock bulb, right is Nokya 2500k 35w h8.

Blurry pic but it shows the color that's given off by the AE with these bulbs.

The color of your car/light combo matches the color of the new york state plate...
