Excellent, could you move the witch from North of the border just ahead of Corbyn.

Just to make sure she gets 'nabbed'

Exactly! Corbyns actually proving quite fun.

Hoping sturgeon / salmond sex tape or some sort of scandal comes out to spoil the snp's run. I wouldn't watch it though!

I'm no fan of Nicola Sturgeon myself but I'm not really understanding why anyone living in England should be worrying about her so much? :

Its us up here that have to worry about her. Can't think of a more hypocritical person from any walk of life.

She should have stuck with her day job (Jimmy Krankie)

Fair enough, but I just find it odd that so many English folk getting so het up about her.
I find her frustrating because the longer she is in charge then the more the SNP seem to do which reduces the attractiveness and likelihood of me ever moving back to Scotland.

The main reason is she is using the SNP as a party to try and block every Governement bill and also cross party bills for England.

It's one thing being a nightmare north of the border, however interfering in English only politics is crass.

She is also so fixated on having her own fiefdom that she has not noticed it falling down around her ears.

I can understand that reason but plenty of folk have let her get under their skin long before they did any of that.
Actually the thing that I find most disconcerting about criticism of her is that it often descends to a personal attack on how she looks or comes across much more than any male politician seems to have to put up with. I know that Salmond did get get called a smarmy, fat little toad a bit but to me a lot of the hatred of her just seems like poorly dressed up mysogeny.

So when you're absolutely right and there is so much to criticise with the Scottish governments actual record - education and health in particular for example, getting personal on her just seems a bit moronic.

Don't we get personal with all politicians? Particularly those with traits we can mock, and especially those who actually do something or matter....thatcher, major, kinnock, blair, paisley, lamont: all reviled personally as well as politically by many. I'm a huge thatcher fan, yet she was and still is reviled personally more than any politician I can recall. Remember the comments on her death....disgusting! Look at the hatred for Hilary Clinton in the US, man it's reeaal!

I'll be honest and say I detest Sturgeon because she is so effective: a great communicator compared to her predecessor and apparently very intelligent and without blemish. I loathed Salmond precisely for his smugness, I actually have a bit of respect buried somewhere for Sturgeon.

Also she is the antithesis of all I believe, socially and politically. More importantly she is the best chance of pulling the UK apart forever. The IRA couldn't do it, and as a northern Irishman I feel we have much more to lose than England if Scotland departs. England will actually be better off!

Getting personal with public figures is just natural (IMO); its those who don't understand the issues and/or the abilities of the person concerned yet still mock that are a bit pathetic.

I do believe she's the most dangerous woman in Britain!

I agree that attacks on politicians can hardly be anything except personal. However, the attacks on Sturgeon are generally different to that received by most make politicians. And I agree with you on how Thatcher was viewed too, which I also can't help but think was shaped as much by her being a strong female politician as well as anything she actually did as a politician.
The way people are you'd have thought she was the leader of some sort of para-military terrorist organisation, but apparently that's no reason to stop one becoming a leading politician.

On a childish note that did make me laugh

On a serious note, I don't like Sturgeon because she seems to be a pretty good politician and I believe she could lead Scotland to independence. I do not want this at all, I like being part of a uk where scotland and its people are part of it.

Don't leave us Scotland we need and want you to stay (or at least I do)

That seems to be the over-riding political trends these days, from the the US, to Scotland, England, most Eastern European countries.... A greater sense of nationalism and desire for less integration and interference from other countries, and increased sense of actually being in control of ones own affairs.
Looking over the fractious history of Europe (always very interesting to look at political maps of Europe through the ages) it has always been the way.
I've always been surprised that more folk don't see it like you Mark, and still surprised at how desperate the politicians were to keep Scotland as part of the U.K.
