Price Hike for Executive Package
Just noticed on BMWUSA site that they've hiked the price of the Executive Package on the G12 7 Series by $500. When I ordered my G12 back in mid-January, the Executive Package price was $2,700. Now it's $3,200.
Anyone know why the hike?

New exec package
There used to be two executive packages. One with and one without ceramic controls. The one without is $500 less but no longer available.

Hmmm, I guess that explains it. I was never presented with two options -- just the single $2,700 option. It'll be interesting to see if I have these fittings when my car arrives. It's due stateside this Saturday (then another week for it to get to my dealership).

Ordering Guides
Here are the actual ordering codes. I was told by my dealer when I ordered at the beginning of March that ZEC was the only option after December.

You're correct speeddeacon. Just took delivery of my car today and have confirmed I have the Ceramic Controls, despite them not being listed on my original order. Here are a couple of pics...

You're wrong. I do, indeed, have Ceramic Controls, as depicted in the photos I posted. Ceramic Controls aren't black. I speak from knowledge here -- I had them on my last 7-Series as well. They're close to being black, but are actually more "gun metal" in color -- think very dark gray, not black. Anyway, Ceramic Controls are listed on the window sticker for my car, and these controls are very different from those in the standard 7 Series. I've included a photo of the standard controls here. Notice how they're all silver (the audio knob, the iDrive controller, and the A/C knobs front and rear)? Now compare that to the photos of my car I posted, and you'll see for yourself.
