Car arrived at dealership!

Hi all!

Just discovered that my car has finally arrived at the dealership, I had to find out the long way through bmw genius.

My sales person still has me believing that the car is crossing the English channel.

Also I still haven't been given a number plate. I really wanted to pick up the car on 26th of March as that is going to be the only day I will be free untill mid April, he said it might be unlikely to be ready on that day. Surely if they received it today that shouldn't be a problem?

Anyway it's a bmw 435d coupe in alpine white. Pictures will come on Saturday if he plays ball.

Booked for Monday!! Detailing being done on Saturday at dealers.

Quick call to dealership and I now have my number plate, I must say for a generic number plate it looks quite devilish (litteraly). Sales person will try their best to have it ready for Saturday whoop whoop!!

I really hope so as I am going to be up north anyway during easter weekend, so it will be massively convenient if I can pick it up Saturday. Plus I also can't wait!

I'm sure they will sort it. They will want the reg for the months figures

I recall your posts in your other thread as our delivery times were similar.

I'm fairly sure if your car is already here, the dealer should be able to get your car ready for Saturday.

I say this because our dealer was originally expecting our car to arrive today and scheduled our collection for Thursday, a two day turnaround.

So you should be OK even with Easter thrown into the equation.

Fingers crossed for you.

Mines is at the dealers too.
Again my salesperson didn't tell me. I had to phone him.
Can collect from next Tuesday on.
But I don't have any free days.
Can't wait.
First brand new car.
Though this forum has kinda made me wish I'd gone for the 340i
First world problems.

Its quarter end so tell them if you cant have it Saturday you don't want it registered until April !

Not sure what you mean by Quarter End. Is there a significance to the deal? Dealers with potentially better offers.

We take delivery today and have opted for 52 weeks RFT + 1 week. Just to get the car on the road.

It's the end of quarter one in accounts terms, targets set by brands are broken up into quarters and bonuses paid off the back of them.

Thanks everyone for your advice!

Unfortunately the car will not be ready for Saturday

it will have to be whenever I am free basically.

I was promised a video of the car today, and that did not arrive, ofcourse.

That just leaves the car catching dust at the dealers mercy for a few weeks.
