BMW M2 vs Death Valley - Instrumented Test Review (Car and Driver)
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com "The M2 is a modern BMW, which means the steering is a bit removed and the stereo plays engine sounds. But it has the look, if not the irrepressible soul, of the 1-series M. It's a shrunken M4, both in size and price. An M4 starts at $66,695 and the M2 costs $52,695. Get the M2 and save the $14,000 for a rainy day." |

Unless you need the space, I see no reason to get an f8x. The f8x will still outsell this car no doubt but to an enthusiast it's a simple choice. Still wonder why they'd pipe in fake noise when the exhaust actually has a good tone? Who knows?...

M2 on the track it's actually quite a blast to drive. Compared to my F80 and since I'm not a pro driver or even close, I felt the reduced power on the M2 was a bit more manageable to me and it had no problem putting down compared when I push my M3.

Old F8x = M3/M4
New F8x = M2 We should refer to them as old and new F8x.

That's great & all but I'm still hopeful that one day the M2 will be available in Sakhir Orange, Valencia Orange, or some red-orange hue/combo. That'll be the one for me.

ya lol I just thought with the number that's the first time I saw that. I think they will eventually do something, but it will be closer to when the next m4 comes out.
