Selling a 'normal' car

Evening all,

I am looking to sell privately my second car. It is a nice 2010 Fiesta 1.6 TDCi, but what I would call a very normal car.

For a while now I have owned performance cars and the market for those is somewhat niche but I know to avoid Auto trader and go via PH, forums etc.

For something like the fiesta for example I was thinking Gumtree and Autotrader, possibly eBay?

Just wondering if that is the right way to go or any of the above three is a waste of time?

Thanks

Autotrader has always worked well for me.

Certainly advertise it on here for free in the classified section.

There might be someone looking for a car like this for their missus.

For performance/specialist cars - may have changed but it was always a case to avoid it as you had companies ringing you, people offering ridiculous lower than WBAC offers, tyre kickers coming for test drives only etc.

Was planning to use it for the Fiesta though

Tbh tried both autotrader and piston heads when selling my 320d

Went via autotrader. Via PH all I got was a load of scammers trying to pirate my ad.

GLWS !!!

Certainly didn't have any time wasters or scammers using them over last 5 years. I think most of those companies have moved on to PPI claims and ambulance chasing.
