Thoughts 442m wheels bicolour or not?

Whilst I'm waiting with baited breath for the 440i...I keep looking at the front of the brochure ..the pic of the GC is carbon black with 442m not bicolour. I can't help but prefer them. I think the bicolour look great...but something quite neat with the non bicolour.

Not sure it bugs me enough to change em mind. Is it just me?

Personally I prefer the grey ones, I think they look a lot nicer

I have never been a fan of dark wheels though

I've had 403s, then 442s plain and now 442 bi colour. I prefer the bi colour ones. I'd suggest go looking at them on an actual real car as I find a lot of photos quite misleading, in that they make the orbit grey seem a much darker colour than it really is. It's actually got quite a bit of metallic in it and when clean and in the sun look stunning.

another vote for bicolour. after giving the 4GC first wash this weekend have to say they feel like they are going to be less maintenance than non-bicolour and keep looking like new a lot longer. with non-bicolour i find there's always "pitting" that builds up overtime where the spokes meet the rim and its a bugger to keep that at bay.

I've seen a lot of them and do really like em orbit grey. There's about 3 4 series's on my estate though with them em on...perhaps they've stopped standing out because of that.
They look meaner no doubt. Look very clean with the non bicolour.
My car is in this country now, so hopefully will see them soon ??

It won't matter which you choose as after a hard drive all wheels look orbit grey anyway.

I think it depends on body colour for me. I've got sapphire black and the ferric grey, and I love the combination. Think orbit grey is better suited to lighter colours that go well with the contrast such as white, EB, Melbourne red etc.

Mentioned above that orbit grey look much better in the flesh, well can also vouch for the ferric grey also looking much better close up as you can see the grey contrast. They're also not difficult wheels to keep clean, no build up whatsoever as mentioned above. Much easier to clean than 403s

I think it depends on the colour of the car.

I have bi colour orbit grey 442's on a white car. The dark inner wheel seem to comliment the light colour of the car. The black features of the car stand out on white and the dark inner wheel seem to fit well.

However, if I were having a dark coloured car (grey or black) then I think I would go for the lighter wheel.

With EB, either would look good.

Not sure which would suite silver or red.

Just my opinion!

Mmmm...second thoughts...they do look nice on the grey car, seem to match the colour nicely.

Think I will still have the silver ones on a black car.

they go well with any colour...
replaced my old 403m's with 442m's really gave my old banger a lift

but i want to get my 403m's refurbished in orbit grey (anthracite) and then diamond cut.
reckon they would look stunning, as the ferric grey is a little bit dated now imo...

Bi colour definitely. Although (and this won't be popular) don't think 442s look right on a saloon/touring...

I have them on my 330. The car is black so they look great. Also, the darker inner section is, well, brake dust coloured so a bit of a bonus there...

I put some cheap black alloys on with my winter tyres and they don't look as good in any sense of the word.

I agree with you. Here's mine with the ferric grey, not everyone will agree but I stand by lighter wheels with black...

Forget your 442m's and go for 405m's.
