We Dutch always say that our eastern neighbours don't have any humor.

How wrong were we....
And those guys are actually Austrians afaik but anyway...lol

I know many of you don't understand German but I find this video the best M2 video to date. By far.

It's about fun, competition and it shows the M2 in it's full glory on track(1.6G!) and on B roads(90meters of drift). And with real pro racecardrivers.

Fantastic footage.

Cheers
Robin

I don't speak German, but even I understood the fun they had with this car. All the more reason for my impatient wait. One of the best video's yet!

The LBB M2 with DTN-27 plates must be the most beaten-up-by-journalists M2.

Wondering whether those trashed test cars are destroyed or sold.

Remember with the 1M they sold some extra cars at the end but I can't remember if they were journalist cars or performance center cars or both. They originally had 740 1Ms in the USA and then like 10 or so later.

In the past it was common for BMW to destroy all test vehicles, so if this rule stands today, they will all go down the shredder together

Great post Robin !!

Thanks, it all shows where it`s all about; fun fun fun......what a smiles per mile, just brilliant !!

Just counting the days now, my car has arrived in the Netherlands, as a HEA car it must stay a week , maybe 2 weeks at the dealer, but then I`ll take her home

Shouldn't be a problem if you really trust your dealer and if you pick you car "not driven". I would never buy a "slighly" used/"like new" HEA car, my heart hurts just seeing those not broken up, cold motor cars being repeatedly revved to the limiter at the dealer to enjoy/demonstrate the great sound etc., not even speaking how are being driven...

Agree fully !

I have to say my car is a HEA, but it will only stand in the showroom, it will be locked, it can not be driven, because that car is sold to me, I have the word on that from the dealer, so I do trust on that.

As much as I know the 2 guys ar the sons of former race driver Hans-Joachim Stuck who is German respectively Bavarian, that's why they speak a dialect which is a bit similar to the Austrian dialect. Martin Tomczyk is also Bavarian.

Aren't they pre-prod vehicles? If so, they must be destroyed, don't they?

I know that national press cars make their way to dealerships across the country. I have seen them on sale here.

Great video. Fun to watch even if I don't speak the language. Love the challenges.

That drift on back roads was pretty sick.

How much faster was Tomcyzk than the Grip Driver around Laguna ?

Where is "Here" and what dealerships? I for one would not want to buy a pre-beaten car.

Not in the US.

Have you not heard about the guy who bought the YMB M3 that was used as a press car all over the UK incl. Top Gear?

They were 1.3 sec slover on the track. And they did a 90 meters long drift on the back roads.
