For £50 get them - makes the rear visibility much better.

I agree, the rear visibility with the standard rear head rests is dreadful. I'd spec this every time.

I have folding seats but I'm sure my centre rear headrest doesn't fold. I'll have to go out and check!!

on my car i specced both rear folding seats and rear folding headrests. will be interested to hear if the folding seats give you folding headrests too, as that would mean BMW overcharged me £50

With split fold rear seats you get the folding centre for free. The £50 option is for folding left and right along with centre.
If you don't spec split fold you get a smaller centre rest instead. In short, your centre visability is the same for any option, you're paying for a little more to the left and right. |
