Best place to source a headlight bulb (BNE or Australia-wide)

Appealing to the collective wisdom of Bimmerpost - mate of mine has blown a low-beam (not DRL) xenon bulb in his E60 530d and I wanted to help with get a replacement.

Anyone recommend best place to order one from or pickup (if in BNE)?

thanks in advance.

Ouch, dealership tells apparently for low beam you need to replace the control unit as well when it's the low beam. Total price...... $440! My mate's response "I might drive around with one headlight a little longer"

Halogen replacement for F30 2014

Hi All,

I have the stock halogen and as I like to change it without upgrading to HID, LED.. etc.

Just wondering if anyone has used this replacement halogen bulb before?

PHILIPS H7 5000K DIAMOND SUPER WHITE HALOGEN HEADLAMP LIGHT BULB LOW BEAM BMW

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PHILIPS-H...item4afb7c30c5

And if you have, please help me with the following questions:

1. Are they less yellowish than the stock, worth the effort to make the swap?
2. It didn't advertise as error free, do you have any error and require coding to fix? I have read on feedbacks that some replacement needs coding to fix despite advertised as error free.
3. How long do they last? It seems looking at instructions it is a bit of to do the replacement, so my main concern is that I have to swap them out every 6 months which I like to avoid.

Thank you in advance!

Cheers
Ed
